We bring together European adult education organisations to demonstrate how adult learning can improve citizens\u2019 lives and prospects in Europe. We are\u00a0collecting events organised by adult education organisations across Europe and want to invite you to join the campaign! Read more on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaea.org\/en\/policy-advocacy\/2017-the-year-of-adult-education-in-europe.html\">how to join<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apunta las fechas: EAEA Aprendizaje de miembros junior<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Save the dates: EAEA \u00ddounger Staff Training 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaea.org\/en\/eaea\/eaea-trainings.html\">EAEA Younger Staff Training 2017<\/a> will be organised in Brussels on 19\u201322 September. The training\u00a0increases adult education professionals&#8217; knowledge about the European Union,\u00a0deepens their understanding of the European education and training policies and enables the exchange of practices\u00a0and networking.\u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/opportunities-for-organisations\/learning-mobility\/adult-education_en\">Erasmus+ KA1 project grants<\/a> can be used to cover the funds of the training. Would you like to share your experiences, problems and success stories with your colleagues from across Europe? <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/epale\/en\/private\/exchanging-teaching-methodologies\">Join<\/a> the EAEA Community of Practice on exchanging teaching methodologies on EPALE.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>POLICY NEWS<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Publicaci\u00f3n de la EAEA: La Educaci\u00f3n de Adultos en Europa 2016 &#8211; Una visi\u00f3n desde la sociedad civil<br \/>\nEAEA publication: Adult Education in Europe 2016 &#8211; A Civil Society View<\/strong><br \/>\nEAEA has published a set of country reports that offer a civil society view on the state of adult education in Europe. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaea.org\/en\/home\/in-focus.html\">The publication<\/a> combines data collected from EAEA members in 37 countries to showcase an overview of adult education policy in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Informe Normativo EAEA: Aprendizaje y habilidades para Adultos en Europa<br \/>\nEAEA Policy Paper: Learning and Skills for Adults in Europe<\/strong><br \/>\nNew EAEA Policy Paper <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaea.org\/media\/policy-advocacy\/eaea-statements\/learning-and-skills-for-adults_final.pdf\">\u00abLearning and Skills for Adults in Europe\u00bb<\/a> sets out objectives and recommendations for the learning and skills for adults in Europe. The Policy Paper draws from a number of EU and global level strategies and demonstrates how adult education is the key to reach the aims of these strategies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Grupo de Inter\u00e9s en Aprendizaje a lo Largo de la Vida sobre la Agenda de habilidades<br \/>\nLifelong Learning Interest Group discussed the Skills Agenda<\/strong><br \/>\nWith the New Skills Guarantee (\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?catId=1224\">Upskilling Pathways<\/a>\u201d), the European Commission has presented an ambitious strategy for improving skills of adults in Europe. Several Members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission and the Council of Europe as well as civil society discussed the Skills Agenda in a meeting of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lll-interestgroup.eu\/\">Lifelong Learning Interest Group<\/a> in November.<\/p>\n<h4>PROJECT NEWS<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Proyecto FinALE: De las m\u00e9tricas hacia una comprensi\u00f3n ampliada de la Educaci\u00f3n de Adultos<br \/>\nFinALE project: From measuring to a broader understanding of adult education<\/strong><br \/>\nWhile hardly anyone would disagree with the impact of non-formal adult education on active citizenship, social inclusion and well-being, the current state of financing adult education in Europe suggests otherwise.
